Stibor of Stiborice founded the town poorhouse in
Skalica in 1431. The Gothic building was renewed in 1640 and it was
rebuilt in the second half of the 19th century. The original stone
barrel vault is well-preserved in the cellar. The groundfloor and
the rebuilt Chapel of St Elisabeth are vaulted over by the Late
Renaissance cross vaults. This building has kept its social function
up till now and it is a rest home.
