This commemorative column built in gratitude for the
end of the plague can be found in the park next to the Parish Church
of St Michael Archangel. The author of its design is Giovanni
d´Allio and it was built in the years 1691 – 1695 by J. Schäffer, a
sculptor and stonecutter. It was originally placed in front of the
Town Hall. In the middle of the 19th century it was renewed by J.A.
Töpfer, a gilder from Vienna.
